New Hope Animal Rescue Connect Pets with Loving Homes During PetSmart Charities National Adoption Week

Adoption Event to Take Place Nov 8-14 at PetSmart (Sunset Valley)

November 5, 2021, Austin, Texas — New Hope Animal Rescue is proud to partner with PetSmart Charities® to bring adoptable pets to PetSmart on Brodie Lane (Sunset Valley) in support of National Adoption Week, taking place November 8 - 14, 2021.

There is no better time to adopt a pet than ahead of the season of giving. Mai featured below is just one pet in need of a loving home.

As part of the in-store event, New Hope Animal Rescue invites potential pet owners to attend and meet adoptable pets in their area. People will be given opportunities to spend time with animals in need of loving homes to make connections, learn about their care and explore the types supplies and services they’ll need as pet parents going forward.  To view all available pets for adoption, please visit www.NewHopeSavesLives.org

“Helping our partners find perfect matches for the pets in their care helps us to fulfill our mission to bring people and pets together,” said Heidi Fulcher, Adoption Grants Manager at PetSmart Charities. “The pandemic taught us all just how much pets save us as much as we save them!”

While pets of all ages will be on-site, this National Adoption Week, PetSmart is encouraging attendees to consider adopting adult or senior pets. Older pets can be overlooked, but often bring special benefits.

In that same vein, New Hope Animal Rescue encourages people to consider getting to know one of their sweet mom cats, including Mai.  “Our mom cats did a great job raising their babies during kitten season, but now are very deserving of loving homes of their own. We are always grateful when their kittens are quickly adopted but it weighs on our hearts to see the moms left behind,” said Kelley Rice, President at New Hope Animal Rescue.

Mai raised her 5 babies and now it’s her turn to be spoiled. She is adorable, sweet and purrs loudly as she soaks up all love and snuggles. Mai was born with a variation in her left eye — but it just adds to her charm! Mai currently resides at PetSmart [Sunset Valley].
