| Message from Thor: My brother and I were found abandoned on a country road with no houses for miles and miles and no one came looking for us at the shelter. We don’t know how we ended up there but we are so happy to be safe in our foster home. I am a super smart, loving and independent dog. I really enjoy being given lots of tasks and really would love to have a doggy playmate. I’m often assessing situations which is kind of cute! If I hear a noise, I will sit down and perk up my ears to figure out what is going on. I will enjoy laying by your feet. If I’m not laying at your feet, I might be under the sofa or under some furniture or relaxing in the next room. Butt scratches and belly rubs are my favorite! I’m easily distracted ... wha? squirrel?.. but refocused by toys! I love being in the back yard to play and hang out. I already know bunch of commands too. Message from us: Thor is a fun loving pup! He loves to be outdoors rain or shine. Thor loves to wrestle with his foster brother and cannot live without a good squeaker toy. This pup is incredibly smart, a quick learner, and very inquisitive. Thor can often be found staring at himself in the mirror and well hey...can you blame this beautiful boy? Blue Heelers are known for their herding ability and protectiveness. They make great guard dogs, and so you and will be alerted if anyone walks by your house. Heelers also have a natural drive to herd. As their name suggests, Blue Heelers (and Australian Cattle Dogs) were bred to nip at the heels of the farm animals to keep them in check, so it's not surprising that they like to do the same to people and other dogs. However, they rely on direction from their human and will look to you for commands and approvals, but if none are given, they will follow and give in to their instincts.
