*Akira [female orange] and Mochi [male, siamese] are a bonded pair and we will not allow them to be adopted separately. They are 12 1/2 years old and have been through so much change already so the idea of separating them is just not an idea we can entertain - please apply if you can offer them loving home together.

Akira [female orange] and Mochi [male, siamese] ended up in a local municipal shelter when their owner entered assisted living. These gorgeous kitties are a couple of very large, lovable, potato-shaped couch taters who have brought much comfort to each other amidst sad changes.

They are described by their foster as super easy, litter box trained kitties that can be total purr machines once they feel safe in a new place [just give them 24-48 hours!]. Mochi in particular loves to have his belly rubbed and both will offer you licks and head rubs.

They spend their spare time cuddling each other and gazing out the windows at night. They are super laid back but do prefer to be together. They are totally bonded, always touching one another.

Akira can come off as feisty when she first joins a new home but has never been aggressive and can be hilariously chatty waking you up to get her breakfast on the table [both prefer wet food but will also eat dry]. Both kitties can be held and Mochi will likely sit on your lap and show you his belly for some belly rubs. Akira is more of the observer who will sit near by but will also offer you head rubs.

They were fostered with an 8 and 10 year old and did great with them. They did not seem to like dogs, but might do ok with a slow introduction to a calm, cat-friendly dog who isn't too curious and who will respect their space.

Their prior owner was sick for a long time, so these two kitties only had each other once human attention wasn’t given regularly.
