Amplify Austin's 24 hours of matching donations begins now at 6:00pm through Friday at 6:00pm! Donations made during this period will help our rescued pets receive additional funding as the impact of donor dollars will be doubled! The senior dogs are pouring in and so are the sick kittens [and every animal in between]! There is no donation too small to help us provide the medical care they need.

Kitten season is coming but it feels like it never ended! On a transport from a south Texas shelter to Austin this week, our transporter would discover that 6 new kittens had just come into the shelter. One of them was Shortcake who was scheduled for euthanasia due to ringworm and an upper respiratory infection. This little purr machine deserved a chance at a happy life, so we rescued her and the 5 other kittens who would meet the same fate. Kitten season is in the not so distant future and is our busiest time of year. Please help us help orphaned kittens and homeless cats who all require a great deal of medical care. Whether an animal has been discarded or overlooked due to age, breed or health status, we provide the medical care and emotional rehabilitation needed prior to adoption. We also encourage our community to play a role in reducing shelter overcrowding by educating around the importance of spaying and neutering beloved pets.
