Defying 100% FIP Fatality: Fighting for 96% Survival to Save Cat Lives!

Help the Cat Volunteer and Foster Team at New Hope Animal Rescue save the lives of cats suffering from FIP [Feline Infectious Peritonitis] which is 100 % fatal without treatment but with your support, FIP is 96% survivable with treatment! We are treating 7 cats and the rescue is now being asked to take in even more FIP cats to provide them with costly, life-saving treatment.

We are a small grass-roots organization that desperately needs to raise $9,500 to cover the cost of saving these cats and to help the cats who still need us. Donations go towards GS treatment, diagnostics, vet visits and monthly bloodwork and additional medications needed like pain medication and B12. Cats need to be treated for 84 days minimum followed by 84 days of observation. We refuse to stand by and watch these innocent cats and kittens suffer but are in desperate need of your help. Your generosity can make all the difference between life and certain death!

What is FIP? FIP is a merciless and disease that's caused by a feline coronavirus - something most cats carry. Some cats aren't fortunate enough to mount a strong enough immune response so they fall victim to a mutated form of the virus, which spreads through their bodies via white blood cells, targeting their abdomen, kidneys, and brain.

The cats we are currently treating came from a wide variety of circumstances, including 2 that were rescued from an illegal and inhumane breeder who had over 100 cats in her home like tabby munchkin Pipsqueek pictured here. Several came from the same shelter in Texas but at different times. And 3 were born to the same mother who was rescued off the streets.

The treatment we've initiated [Gs-441524] involves medication that interferes with the virus's ability to hijack the immune system. The success rate of this treatment is promising, standing at around 96%!

Costly FIP treatment was not in our budget and most shelters and rescues are forced to euthanize due to the cost and timeline and human resources it takes to treat the disease. But our rescue is committed to saving these cats, but we are in desperate need of donations to help them!

*When you donate through this PayPal campaign link, it assures your donation goes to the treatment of FIP cats! We thank you for your support.

With a grateful heart,

The Cat Volunteer and Foster Team
