They Might Look Like Wedding Crashers – But New Hope’s Adoptable Dogs Were Actually Invited!

When Kirby and Corey planned their wedding, they knew they wanted it to reflect their shared passion for saving animals. In lieu of traditional wedding gifts, the couple asked their guests to contribute to two organizations close to their hearts: New Hope Animal Rescue and Safe in Austin. Their entire wedding registry was dedicated to charitable donations, aiming to make a real impact in the lives of animals in need.
But Kirby & Corey Surprised New Hope Animal Rescue By Doubling Down on Life-Saving!

The real showstopper was when they invited adoptable dogs from New Hope Animal Rescue to their semi-formal wedding reception at Two Wishes Ranch to help find them homes!
As longtime supporters of New Hope Animal Rescue, Corey and Kirby have fostered 27 dogs and cats, providing loving temporary homes for animals awaiting adoption. To honor their journey, they displayed photos of each foster pet at their welcome party, giving out-of-town guests a glimpse of their life-changing commitment, and at the wedding reception guests sipped on cocktails with stir sticks featuring photos of the couple’s former fosters.
A Wedding Reception to Remember for Animal Lovers
"Our guests were totally smitten with such a ‘cute’ activity. It was also a great chance for folks to chat with volunteers and learn more about where their donations were actually going, which I thought was so perfect!” said the bride, Kirby Jay, pictured top right with her newest foster Sugar Boo.
