At 13 years old, Freyja was turned into a shelter as a stray, with no owners on her microchip coming forward to reclaim her despite repeated attempts to contact them. As the days past at this crowded shelter, it became clear to our shelter partner that Freyja was in dire need of rescue.
We would answer that call, driving to the shelter the week of Christmas to rescue not just take in Freyja, but a also a very pregnant mamma cat named Berkley and 4 dogs! Both cats are now thriving in loving foster homes where they will receive the love, care, nutrition and medical attention they need.
