Double Your Impact for #GivingTuesday
On Tuesday, November 29th, we will celebrate #GivingTuesday and the generous donors who help us save lives. But you do not have to wait until next Tuesday to make a difference in the life of of an abandoned pet like Quinn. Read Quinn's full story in the Austin Journal. Quinn had been found tied to a tree emaciated, dehydrated and wearing a diaper and barely clinging to life. She had a note from her owner stating that she had a deadly infection of her "repro organs" and the note ask that someone drop her off at the shelter.
Because shelter was closed, a Good Samaritan brought Quinn to Prairie Creek Animal Hospital instead. The vet could immediately identify Quinn had Pyometra [a deadly infection of the uterus]. When New Hope Animal Rescue received the call about Quinn that morning, we sprung into action so she could have immediate life-saving surgery. We can only answer urgent calls like this with the help of our donors, vet partners like Prairie Creek Animal Hospital and with fosters who step up to offer their home to a pet in need. Having made a full recovery, Quinn is enjoying a happy, healthy, pain-free stay in her foster home where they describe her as a "unicorn dog" because she is so well-mannered and easy to train.
