A Displaced Senior Dog's Journey of Healing Starts with New Hope

When we received the plea for Sadie's rescue, we knew we couldn't turn our backs and intervened to keep her out of the shelter. Her owner, struck by illness, could no longer care for her beloved companion. Despite the deep affection her owner held, Sadie had not received routine veterinary care, leaving her with rotting teeth and gums that cause constant pain. At the age of 12, Sadie is also still unspayed, which contributed to the formation of a mammary mass, another medical issue that needs immediate attention. We urgently need your support to help her on this transformative journey and to shine a light on the importance of rescuing senior dogs like Sadie.

But amid these challenges, there's a beacon of hope – Sadie's spirit. At 12 years old, she's brimming with life and playful energy. Her bloodwork reveals that, apart from these issues, she's remarkably healthy. Thanks to generous donors like you, Sadie has already received heartworm testing, senior bloodwork panel, vaccinations, fecal testing, heartworm and flea prevention and microchipping.

Sadie is fostered with New Hope's Clementine and they love playing together!

But now, we face a critical moment. We urgently need to raise $800 to provide Sadie with the mass removal procedure and the dental surgery she so desperately needs.

Every dollar donated brings us closer to giving Sadie the pain-free, healthy life she deserves.

Here's how you can make a difference:
  • Make a donation today to help cover the cost of Sadie's medical procedures.
  • Share Sadie's story with your friends, family, and social networks, spreading the word about her journey and our mission.
  • Consider becoming a recurring donor, providing ongoing support to animals in need like Sadie. Cancel any time.
Sadie shows her silly side in the loving comfort of her foster home where she enjoys playing with dogs of all sizes and even a senior cat.

Senior dogs like Sadie hold a special place in our hearts. They have spent their lives offering love, loyalty, and companionship to their human families. Now, in their golden years, they deserve the same devotion in return. Shelters, with their loud noises and unfamiliar surroundings, can be incredibly stressful and anxiety provoking for seniors like Sadie, which can lead to a rapid decline in their health.

Your support offers these senior dogs the chance to find a soft place to land in the comfort and peace of a loving New Hope foster home so we can provide the medical care they need prior to adoption. It's a chance to make the rest of their lives the best of their lives!

With a grateful heart,
