Kitten-napping and tennis

*|MC:SUBJECT|*

Dear Friends,

As we approach the holiday months, we wanted to share our gratitude for the different ways our community has stepped up for our rescued, homeless pets.  Today we would like to highlight the DropShot HEB Tennis Tournament's commitment to homeless pets and our mission, alongside a community of people and KVUE local news who cared enough to help a stolen kitten be safely returned to our rescue.

What do Homeless Pets and Tennis have in Common? DropShot's H-E-B Tennis Open in Austin!

New Hope Kitten Stolen from Tomlinson's but Safely Returned Thanks to Social Media Shares

On October 12th, we received gut-wrenching news that one of our rescued kittens named Ryder had been stolen from a local pet store adoption center. This is a kitten we had rescued from a high kill shelter, along with his mom and siblings when he was just a couple of weeks old. Tomlinson's staff and New Hope volunteers sprung into action gathering surveillance footage, vehicle information and sharing the footage online. Thanks to over 400 social media shares, Ryder was safely returned anonymously but unharmed. Here is the KVUE story. Ryder was not just a kitten to us. We poured our hearts into saving him because his life is important to us and it was clear that our community and local media cared as well.  Ryder is still available for adoption and would love to find a great home for the holidays!

We are so grateful for the support we have received all year but especially during this past month. 2020 has been a tough year for so many of us, but every day we see seeds of goodness planted for a better tomorrow and for that, we are truly thankful.

Thank you for your support. Together we save lives.
