On the same day, we rescued two unrelated tiny kittens from a shelter — both with heartbreaking front, right leg injuries.
Hopdoddy [Blue kitten] came in with a broken front leg. Sploot [black kitten] wasn’t using his leg, and X-rays didn’t show a break. After weeks of no improvement, our vet suspects Sploot has neuropraxia — a nerve injury likely caused by past trauma. Now, Sploot’s leg is contracting painfully, and amputation is the only path to a pain-free life.

The photos that were sent to us from the shelter. Both faced immediate euthanasia due to space and their medical issues if our rescue did not help.
We need to raise $1,000 to cover Sploot’s upcoming leg amputation and the vet care both he and Hopdoddy have already received. That may not seem like much — but for a grassroots rescue that relies entirely on community donations, and with dozens of animals needing medical attention and more arriving every week, it’s a critical need. Your support today can close that gap — and help ensure we can keep saying yes to the next animal who needs a second chance.
As unrelated as they are, Sploot and Hopdoddy have become best friends in foster care, healing side-by-side from the physical trauma they’ve endured. Your gift today ensures we can keep saying yes to animals like Hopdoddy and Sploot — even when their needs are complex and costly.

Your donation today helps them finish their journey to recovery — and helps ensure we can keep saying yes to the next animal who needs a second chance.
💗 With your help, we can keep going — for Hopdoddy, for Sploot, and for those still waiting.
🐾 Will you give today to help them heal and thrive?
Your kindness brings comfort, relief, and second chances to the ones who need it most. Thank you for being part of their rescue story.
With deep gratitude,
