90 Cats, 1 Mission: Transforming Crisis into Hope

New Hope Animal Rescue & Pflugerville Pets Alive Transform the Lives of 90 Cats and Their Overwhelmed Caregiver

Yvonne Carter from Pflugerville Pets Alive shares her affection with some of the kittens rescued by New Hope Animal Rescue.

Imagine the overwhelming responsibility of caring for over 90 cats, all stemming from just two unfixed cats just four years ago.

This daunting reality became a heartbreaking situation for an overwhelmed individual in Lincoln, TX. That's when New Hope Animal Rescue [NHAR] and Pflugerville Pets Alive [PPA] united forces to halt the cycle of cat reproduction, provide aid and give these innocent cats, as well as the overwhelmed human caring for them, a chance at a better life.  Now, we need YOUR support to sustain this ongoing rescue mission.

We are incredibly grateful to PPA for sponsoring a MASH-style spay/neuter clinic in Austin, which played a pivotal role in addressing our most pressing need: spaying and neutering 37 adult cats to halt the cycle of breeding. A majority of these adults were females who were pregnant despite still nursing young babies, escalating the need for immediate intervention.

Furthermore, New Hope Animal Rescue with the support of our amazing volunteers rescued 56 young kittens, many of whom were battling upper respiratory infections and coccidia, alongside 7 adult cats and transported them to foster homes.  One of the adult cats required surgery for a degloved tail, highlighting the extent of their varying medical needs.

Thanks to the collective effort of PPA and NHAR, we have taken a remarkable leap forward in confronting this crisis head-on!

Living in squalor inside the property, momma cats were nursing babies in dresser drawers and in plastic bins.  These same cats were also pregnant again, escalating the crisis.

However, our mission is far from over. New Hope Animal Rescue is still in desperate need of support to fund the spay and neuter, vaccinations and care for 63 kittens and cats that we took into our rescue. And we are still in need of fosters and donations to rescue the remaining 30 adult cats that were fixed and released back to the property.  This is where YOU can make a difference!

From living in squalor, to now snuggling on a bed, this kitten now has two loving foster care takers Jill and Samantha who generously took in 10 kittens from the property.

You can make a direct impact to sustain this rescue mission through donations to help fund  essential veterinary care, including spay neuter surgeries and core vaccines and necessary supplies. Your contribution can be made through PayPal Giving Fund  or if you prefer not to use a PayPal account, other online or by mail donation options are here

Cal Cal rescued from the property was pregnant which complicated her spay.  She is receiving some TLC from New Hope alumni Stretch in this video. Cal Cal loves dogs and is ready for a home!
This rescue mission springs to life why spaying and neutering every pet prior to adoption is a core value of New Hope Animal Rescue.  Rescue starts with preventing the cycle of breeding that leads to mass shelter euthanasia and neglected or unwanted pets.  Spay and neuter surgery as well as general vet care pricing is continuously on the rise, so we are in desperate need your of support.

Thank you for your unwavering commitment to animal welfare.  Your generosity is truly life-saving.

With gratitude,
