This work is heartbreaking, but we step in because we believe every life matters. Today, we find ourselves in crisis mode as we continue answering urgent pleas to save pets like Brownie and Swish. We are incredibly grateful that just last night a generous donor has offered to match donations dollar for dollar up to $1,500. This means your $5 will become $10, and $50 will become $100! Today, you can double your life-saving impact.
On Tuesday afternoon, we received a distressing message from a local shelter: a photo of Brownie, a Frenchie mix, bleeding profusely from his penis.

We immediately rushed Brownie to an urgent care center, where it was determined he has a prolapsed urethra. Brownie was found in an area notorious for backyard breeders, and this wasn’t the first devastating case we’ve seen this week.

Just last week, we also rescued Swish Von Waddlesworth, another Frenchie mix, from the SAME shelter. She had a torn and bleeding vulva from breeding, a severe stage 5/6 heart murmur, and a respiratory infection. Her vet bills, including a cardiac evaluation, have already totaled $1,400—and her care is ongoing.

No breeder came to save these dogs—but New Hope Animal Rescue did. Unfortunately, more and more Frenchie and Bulldog mixes are turning up in shelters like this one all across Texas. These dogs deserve better, and with your help, we can continue to be their lifeline. Please let this be a reminder to ADOPT and do not shop.
As we speak, Brownie is undergoing surgery at New Hope Animal Hospital today to repair his prolapsed urethra. His excessive bleeding may be why he was abandoned in the streets and not reclaimed. And Swish may have been dumped in a park due to her heart murmur.Their breeders should be held responsible for their vet care, but we are the ones stepping in to give them the care they desperately need.

We have always answered the call to save lives, no matter how desperate the situation, but we cannot continue without your support. Our funds are depleted, and we’re at a breaking point.

Your donation today will be matched dollar for dollar up to $1,500 thanks to a support who heard our plea for help! Even $5 can make a huge difference in giving these animals a chance at a life free from suffering.
Thank you for standing with us during this critical time.
