Amplify Hope for Pets Like Heath

*|MC:SUBJECT|*

Pets like Heath shouldn't have to lose their lives for being shy and if they get sick, they deserve to get the care they need. If you give today, your impact will be doubled to save at risk pets like Heath as Amplify Austin's 24-hours of giving for Central Texas nonprofits has officially kicked offI

5 month old puppy Heath was given a 24 hour euthanasia deadline  at a shelter for being shy and is now battling distemper. Heath entered a municipal shelter as an unvaccinated stray and because she was shy at the time, she was going to be euthanized for space. We could not let that happen to sweet Heath! Sadly, we would also learn Heath was exposed to distemper during her time at the shelter. Heath is safe with New Hope Animal Rescue and we proactively provided her with distemper serum but sadly, she is currently battling this disease. There is no cure for distemper, but we are managing her symptoms with medications and are providing supportive care to give her the best possible chance.

Heath is a sweet girl who is is great with dogs, people cats and children. We will continue to fight for her life.
Distemper is nearly 100% preventable with vaccines!
It's Amplify Austin Day so your donation will go more than twice as far! In addition to our private $5,000 matching gift, the Amplify Fund has a $25,000 gift that will be distributed to animal welfare organizations like New Hope. These matching funds are in effect right NOW through March 2nd at 5:59 pm.
