Mia is a sweet, 11 year old Aussie who was betrayed by her owners at a kill shelter. She was at risk of being euthanized when we saved her and acclimated quickly to her foster home despite all of the stress she had endured at the shelter. Mia enjoys snuggling on the couch but we think she would enjoy long walks or hikes, as she is still young at heart. She is fostered with other dogs and think she would do well either with another calm dog or as an only dog. She is house trained and is used to being crated, but when left alone, she has not been destructive in her foster home. Mia would do best in a calm household either without kids or with older kids. As an older dog, she has earned her right to a little peace and quiet with a family who will respect her boundaries and love her unconditionally. She still has lots of love to give!

Due to the high volume of emails we receive, if you are seriously interested in Mia, the best first step is completing our adoption application. You then will be offered an opportunity to speak to her foster to get to know her in more detail and if you think it's a good fit, we would arrange an in person meet and greet.
