Please Welcome Little Stuart to New Hope! At 13 Please Welcome Little Stuart to New Hope!

At 13 years old and just 6 pounds, Stuart is a tiny gentleman with a huge heart. He was trembling at a shelter where no one came forward to reclaim him, which happens way too often but especially with senior pets!

Stuart is underweight and currently getting the medical care he needs, but already proving to be one of the sweetest little souls you’ll ever meet.

He’s calm, gentle, and loves being close to his person—especially if you’re handing out turkey bacon. He enjoys short walks, snack breaks, and then settles in for some serious nap time. And the way he gets after tortilla chips is downright hilarious—so guard your food!

Stuart doesn’t ask for much—just a soft place to land, a warm lap when available, and a steady supply of treats. He may be small and senior, but his love is big and steady.

Stuart is dealing with some health issues and so we are not quite sure just yet if he's "fospice" or will be made available for adoption. But whatever the outcome, we will make sure he has a quiet home where he can be cherished and showered with snacks like he deserves!

TGIF from Woody the 22 lb Exotic Micro Bully 🐾💙**

Our sweet little Woody is breathing easier today after two important surgeries yesterday—soft palate resection and nostril widening—both performed to help him breath more comfortably. These procedures are common (and often necessary) for bulldogs and exotic bully mixes and our rescue often provides these surgeries to the bulldogs we rescue from shelters.

But here’s what every future bulldog adopter should know:

**They come with a great deal of financial and safety responsibility.
**Breathing issues, skin and eye conditions, and orthopedic concerns are common and stairs can be very challenging for the.
**Many have food allergies and skin sensitivities requiring special diets, shampoos or medications.
**Daily hygiene is a must—especially cleaning skin folds and tail pockets.
*They’re extremely heat-intolerant and must never be left outside or use dog doors unsupervised [dog doors really aren't recommended due to heat intolerance]
**They can’t swim due to their body structure—they will sink. If you have a pool with no safety fencing - do not get a bulldog please.
**They are known for being stubborn and need patient consistent guidance.

These dogs give so much love and have come from situations of abandonment and often extreme physical neglect or even mishandling— they need a high level of commitment to the ongoing care and safety they deserve so please take that into consideration when you apply to adopt a bulldog. If you can offer that, we encourage you to apply with us or another organization!

Woody is snuggled up in his foster home as we review his applications, finally breathing easier, and stealing hearts one snort at a time.
Meet Jack (aka “Tiny”) He may have been the Meet Jack (aka “Tiny”)

He may have been the smallest pup in the litter, but Jack has the biggest personality of them all!

At 4.5 months old, this fearless little leader is always the first to try something new—whether it’s climbing into a basket, grabbing the best toy, or making sure everyone hears his opinion. He’s also a top-tier snuggler who loves to nap right on your chest.
