| Meet Izzy Mandlebaum, a remarkable cat who has no idea he's around 10 years old or that he has some physical limitations in his back legs. Despite these challenges, Izzy is determined to live his best life, still trying to jump off cat towers and reach new heights! This sweet boy is a mix of independent spirit and stage 5 clinger, depending on his mood. Some days, his foster mom can hardly drag him in from the enclosed screened-in patio (aka catio!) where he enjoys the summer warmth and fresh air safely. Other days, he follows her from room to room like a loyal dog. He alternates between sleeping on his own or snuggling up on top of her pillow or chest. Izzy is unfazed by the foster puppy or other pets in the house. He loves human companionship and prefers not to be alone. He enjoys spending time in your lap, lounging on your sofa, or exploring your home. Izzy is a calm and chill boy who doesn't ask for much except lots of affection. He's smart, knows his name, and even comes when called sometimes. Izzy likely suffered an incident in the past effecting his spine, as indicated by his X-rays, but he isn't in pain. He just can't jump from high places and land on all four feet like other cats. However, his lack of fear and determination are truly inspiring.
