Acorn is sweet, smart and will gently paw at your face for more kisses! She's good at communicating and will be sure to show you over and over again where her leash is so you can take her for a walk!
Acorn has has lots of love to offer once she feels safe. That doesn't take long as she warmed up to her foster mom within a day! But it also means she will be shy when first meeting you.
But once she knows you are her human, she will show you her sweet side! Acorn loves to give kisses and sit in your lap and burrow under blankets.
Now that she has raised her puppies, she loves playing with plush toys and playing with the other dog in her foster home. She loves chilling next to cat friends but doesn’t pester them at all. Acorn appreciates slower integration with new dog friends but she becomes their best friend within a few days as well.
Acorn’s foster says she’s very well behaved and house broken and walks well on a leash. Like most dogs, she sometimes gets excited when walking by certain dogs or people but she is making great improvement in that area. Some leash manner training and willingness to work with her to improve her confidence on a leash would help this girl relax and put her trust in her owners.
Acorn needs to work on her confidence interacting with new people but she's a sweet girl who deserves to find a patient adopter who can give her some time to feel safe. A low traffic home with adults or older kids would be ideal for Acorn.
