Archie was one of 27 cats we rescued from an animal control had seized over 100 cats from an illegal and inhumane breeding operation. Archie's mom kept pushing away when her other kittens were nursing. He needed an immediate medical foster to regain strength and weight. He's now thriving and loved by his foster fur brother.

Sweet Pea was rescued from the Lockhart Shelter, a local shelter 40 minutes outside of Austin. Due to shelter over crowding and lack of local adopters and dogs like Sweet Pea are euthanized for space. Our visiting volunteer was immediately smitten by her sweet and gentle nature which has remained consistent since she brought her home!

Sweet Pea's personality is a blend of kindness, intelligence, and gentle social charm. She's not just a dog; she's a social butterfly who thrives on making new friends. This sweet girl knows how to play gently with the little ones, and she respects her grumpy elder companions with grace and patience.

An explorer at heart, Sweet Pea finds wonder in the world around her. She's a connoisseur of plush toys, chew toys, and soft beds, making her downtime truly luxurious.

Sweet Pea is the embodiment of affection. She adores kisses, hugs, and cuddles, often resting her head on your chest to soak up the love. Rarely barking, she prefers to express her happiness through wagging her tail and sharing her infectious joy with new friends.

This lovely lady is not just a socialite; she's also well-mannered. She's fully potty trained and crate trained, showcasing her commitment to being a well-behaved companion. While we won't mention the occasional shoe and chip clip mishap (we all have our quirks, right?), she's pretty much perfect in every other way!

Sweet Pea is on a quest to find her forever family, one that appreciates her kind nature, intelligence, and boundless love. If you're seeking a loyal companion who'll greet you with endless enthusiasm and a heart full of love, Sweet Pea is your girl. Apply to adopt her and experience the magic of her sweet, sweet presence!
There's Something About Sweet Pea
Rescued from euthanasia from a shelter where Ace was afraid and showing behavior that people perceived as barrier reactive, this adorably stocky, big-headed goober has taught us an invaluable lesson: you can't judge a dog's behavior while in a stressful shelter environment.  From "scary" pound puppy to sweet lap dog, Ace's head is only outsized by his huge heart.
Rescue dog Ace is being walked by his confident foster sister
Ace's remarkable journey is a testament to the remarkable transformations that can occur when given a chance. Labeled as "barrier reactive" within the confines of his kennel at a small county shelter, Ace's destiny seemed bleak – he was facing euthanasia due to overcrowding and the shelter's limitations in terms of space and staffing. However, against all odds, Ace's tale took a turn that would reaffirm the power of hope and second chances.

It's a gorgeous day to meet adoptable dogs! @centraltexasreffugees has invited us to join them in bringing adoptable dogs to the biggest dog meet up in December! And the good news is, YOU can bring your pups too as long as they are current on vaccinations! We have great dogs hoping to find homes before Christmas and so many more counting on us to free up foster homes to save their life so please come out to see us today 12-3 at @Meanwhile Brewing Company [3901 Promontory Point Drive, Austin]. Lavender was adopted! Her new mom is a dog trainer at PetSmart in Round Rock! Lavender will be joining her at work as a canine co-teacher, helping to demonstrate effective training techniques to pet parents during puppy classes! @PetSmart Charities #iadopted @petsmart @petsmart.charities Coming soon! More adorable kitties who were just spayed! Welcome Teri Scratcher [Tortie], Tina Spay [siamese], Pawdrey Hepburn [chinchilla Persian] and Feline Dion [calico Persian and half munchkin]! They are among some of kitties that were seized from an illegal breeder. This toy donated by someone fabulous provides them with lots of silly fun. When they aren't hanging on on a giant cat tree, Teri Scratcher is leaping through the air and landing on her foster mom's shoulder like a lemur while Tina Spay is constantly offering kisses. And don't be fooled by Feline Dion's resting B face, this little half munchkin while seemingly aloof is quite sweet once you have her in your arms. And our little chinchilla persian Pawdrey Hepburn is the most petite, delicate and quiet and reserved of them all. She is beautiful, but she doesn't let it go to her head. But this dainty does have beauty one unlady like secret, she poops directly NEXT to the litter box. Sigh. Is there anyone out there that can lover her anyway? Screech adopted! Don’t forget to come by Tomlinsons on S Lamar to meet adoptable dogs and cats! And don’t forget to vote for us for the Pound 4 Pound pet food drive! The food drive helps feed our rescue pets all year! @tomlinsonsfeed @tomlinsonsadoptables L'il D can't contain her excitement! It's our "Home for the Pawlidays" and Food Drive event at @tomlinsonsfeed tomorrow from 11-2! And that's not all, if you swing by to shake some paws you can enter a chance to win a chance to WIN A FREE in-home dog evalation/training session [$200 value] donated by Method Dog Training. #pound4pound #adoptdontshop #dogrescue #catrescue #tomlinsonsadotables @tomlinsonsadoptables
