Meet Champ! Champ is a tiny 7-pound bundle of lo Meet Champ!

Champ is a tiny 7-pound bundle of love with a big heart and an even bigger personality. The shelter originally estimated him to be around 10 years old, but Champ clearly didn’t get that memo — based on his energy, behavior, and overall health, we estimate he’s likely closer to 5–7 years old.

The first thing you’ll notice about Champ is his adorable signature underbite, which gives him the sweetest little expression and makes it almost impossible not to fall in love the moment you meet him.

Champ is incredibly affectionate and loves being close to his people. He happily soaks up cuddles and attention and seems to believe the best place in the world is right next to you.
Despite his small size, Champ is also wonderfully social with other dogs. In his foster home he gets along beautifully with everyone — even big pit bulls — and enjoys toys and occasionally starting a little play session with his dog friends.
Champ is also an excellent houseguest. He is about 99% housetrained, sleeps quietly in his crate all night without a peep, and has been an easy, well-mannered little gentleman in his foster home.

He also loves car rides, making him the perfect little companion for errands and adventures. At just 7 pounds, Champ is the perfect little sidekick to take everywhere — from coffee runs to road trips to cozy nights on the couch.

If you’re looking for a loving little companion with a charming smile and a heart full of affection, Champ may be your perfect match.

Sparkle kept getting over looked for months despit Sparkle kept getting over looked for months despite being the sweetest girl! Her adopter didn’t see she was in Texas when she filled out the adoption application from 12 hours away in another state. But even once she realized this, she knew Sparkle was meant to be her dog and we agreed! The best homes are worth waiting for. Sparkle made the 12 hour drive to her new home just today but we are already getting updates of her zooming around her new, huge yard with her new fur brother! Some people don’t want to go far to meet a new dog. But Sparkle’s new mom drove 24 hours round trip to bring her new, fur baby home! We are so grateful for her love and commitment to Sparkle!

That’s how Herb’s story started.
We said yes.
But the truth is, we can only say yes to urgent situations like this when we have both the funding to treat them and the foster homes to care for them. We need both.
Amplify Austin is live now through Thursday at 6 PM.

💛 Your donation helps unlock additional matching dollars from a $25,000 Anonymous Animal Welfare Fund — increasing support for animals like Herb.

Every gift matters:
• $50 covers a wellness exam
• $85 funds a comprehensive fecal test
• $150 helps neuter
This is just some of the vet care we provide to prepare a puppy like Herb for adoption.

Meet Maudie 💫 She was born with legs that move a Meet Maudie 💫

She was born with legs that move a little differently — and she fully uses them. We get lots of people asking if her legs mean limitations and here is some proof that they absolutely do not.

She runs the yard.
Climbs the stairs.
Loves her daily walks.
Sleeps through the night in her crate (her favorite place).
Zero destruction during the day. Zero drama.

She’s amazing with other dogs.
Lives beautifully with a baby.
Great with kids and adults.
Thrives on routine.
Patio and coffee shop approved. ☕️🐾

She’ll alert you when someone’s at the door… then greet them like she planned the party.

Low-to-medium energy. Very high charm.

If you want a dog who fits seamlessly into real life — and just happens to be unforgettable — Maudie’s your girl.

She’s even a regular at @southpawsplayschool !

Apply to adopt Maudie. 💛
Her sister Gracie is also part of New Hope and is adoptable as well!

Goldfinch, Sunwake, Firepoppy, and their brother Sausage were rescued off the streets during the height of kitten season by a compassionate Good Samaritan who refused to look the other way. She brought them to safety and took the responsible step of ensuring they were fully vetted and spayed/neutered before rehoming or reaching out to rescues—protecting their futures and ensuring they would never contribute to the cycle of unwanted litters.

She lovingly rehomed Sausage herself, and reached out to New Hope Animal Rescue to help place the remaining three through our adoption program so they could find safe, loving, and permanent homes. 💛

Goldfinch (single kitten picturd), Sunwake, and Firepoppy were adopted through our adoption center at @PetSmart Balcones Woods and are thriving exactly where they belong. @PetsmartCharities

Their story is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when compassionate individuals, adopters, and rescue work together to change lives.

Amplify Austin is the biggest giving movement in Central Texas and our success determines how many lives we can save this year.

By creating your own fundraiser and sharing it with your friends and family, you help introduce our mission to new supporters and directly expand our ability to save lives. People are far more likely to give when they see someone they know personally invested in a cause. Your voice builds trust, inspires action, and helps create the momentum that drives the success of our entire Amplify Austin campaign.

Peer-to-peer fundraising creates a powerful groundswell of compassion — one that reaches beyond our immediate network and brings together a community united in giving homeless dogs and cats the second chances they deserve.

And it’s not just about raising money. You are raising awareness. But when money is raised, every single dollar is crucial.

The major 24-hour push is between March 4 6pm - March 5th 6pm; but Amplify Austin is LIVE now and donations are eligible for matching dollars through the Amplify Fund.

Simply visit our Amplify Page and hit the Fundraise Button to create your personalized link.

Sweet She-Ra was within hours of euthanasia at a municipal shelter simply because they had run out of space.

Several rescues much larger than ours had already declined to help her due to her age, FIV status, and dental needs. She’s missing most of her teeth and will need dental surgery.

But none of that changes who She-Ra is — a gentle, affectionate cat who simply wanted someone to give her a chance.

When our team at New Hope Animal Rescue received the message about She-Ra, we knew we couldn’t let those circumstances be the reason her life ended.

So we scrambled to find a foster home and made the decision to stretch our already strained resources to save her. This is the reality of rescue — making difficult decisions every day for dogs and cats who are running out of time in overcrowded shelters.

She-Ra was rescued on March 3rd, during the week of Amplify Austin, the largest giving campaign in Central Texas.

Because of this campaign, a generous donor offered to match every gift dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000, doubling the impact for animals like She-Ra.

Every donation helps us say yes when the next urgent call comes for a dog or cat who has nowhere else to turn.

If you’d like to help animals like She-Ra get their second chance, you can support our rescue here:

https://www.amplifyatx.org/organizations/new-hope-animal-rescue-nfp

Even $1 can help us save another life.

Thank you for being a voice for animals who have none.

Senior Cat Saved Just Hours Before Euthanasia | She-Ra’s Rescue Story
Goose was purchased for $900 from a breeder, but but just 48 hours after being purchased, Goose was surrendered to a shelter and at real risk of euthanasia. Given that history, it makes sense that he carries attachment and separation challenges from his past. Another rescue declined him because they couldn't take a behavior case, but all we saw was a misunderstood dog that needed patience and time and loving guidance. Thankfully, we had an amazing foster home for him and hew was adopted into an amazing home that is committed to his specific needs!
      Goose was adopted!
