Description:
A shelter reached out to us because they quickly knew something was different about little Pinky who walked in circles at the shelter. Pinky has hydrocephalus, water in his brain, and has a very small area on the top of his head where his skull did not close.
But Pinky does not seem to be aware that he’s different! This little pup loves playing fetch and loves his bigger dog friends! He is fearless and he loves snuggles! The prognosis for dogs with hydrocephalus can vary greatly but Pinky’s symptoms overall seem very mild right now which is good since he’s already estimated to be a year old. We have started Pinky on medication to set him up for the best success we can to help manage his condition.
Pinky is totally loving and adorable and deserves a home that appreciates that he is very special and deserves to be protected and loved as he was already abandoned in the streets once in an area known for backyard breeding, likely due to his condition.
Pinky can go to a home with adults only or adults with adult children due to his very small, delicate size. Stay tuned for more details on Pinky!
