Sweet Kokomo is coming up on a year in rescue through no fault of her own. We suspect adopters might overlook her since she's a middle aged girl and also missing some fur that will never grow back but she looks so beautiful to us! She was missing 100% of her fur when she cam to us last November due to sever neglect from her owners. Unfortunately she has "elephant skin" on her under side where fur will never grow, but she is still gorgeous inside and out!

Big Poppa was adopted from our adoption center at @petsmart in Sunset Valley! Big Poppa was possibly the most misunderstood kitty of 18 cats seized by animal control from a property deemed to have too many cats. As they sat in a shelter for over a month, they weren't allowed to be fixed and returned and were slated for euthanasia since they were considered unsocial. Thanks to our advocacy and fosters, 14 were placed in our rescue and four were placed with Austin Pets Alive. Once known as the big, protective daddy of the colony and possibly destined for barn cat placement - Big Poppa truly surprised us all! Once he had time to decompress and understood he was safe, his sweetness and cravings for love and affection started to shine. We are so excited for Big Poppa and his new mom! @petsmartcharities #Iadopted #AdoptLove

Sweet Kokomo wants to know if you are down for a Sunday Funday! She plans to ring in the Chinese New year Wu Chows Celebration at that their 5th Street Location! There will be food, drinks and lion dancers! The party is free but there is a suggested donation of $10 to help pets like Kokomo. Our longest-stay puppy, The Sundance Kid, has been officially adopted by the most amazing moms, and we couldn’t be more excited! It’s clear that Sundance chose them just as much as they chose him.

We are so thrilled that this adoption meet and greet was hosted at @southpawsplayschool for Dogs and Puppies with Sonya by Sundance's side. Sundance was a regular at Southpaws for open playschool day care and boarding. As an incredible send-off gift, Southpaws has generously extended Sundance and his new family a scholarship to their Big Goofy Teenagers training class starting this Tuesday, along with providing 5 free days of daycare or boarding should they need it! This will help set him up for success as he embarks on his new adventure. 🐾✨
