Description:

Looking for a chill love bug who gets along with other dogs? Shelly is your girl.

This sweetheart had a rough start in life where she was bred over and over and her health was neglected, but she has blossomed in her foster home. She takes treats so gently, and waits her turn when all the dogs are getting some. She’s learned to walk nicely on a leash, giving her attention to her person and not reacting to dogs, cats, squirrels or other distractions. She’s also house trained.

Shelly’s favorite things are getting love, chilling, playing with stuffed toys ( which she does not destroy), going to the park and sleeping on her bed in her foster mom’s room at night. She also settles calmly in her crate during the day while foster mom is gone, contentedly chewing on a bone. She has done fine when left uncrated but since she is now going through heartworm treatment she is crated.

Shelly will be ready for her forever home when her treatment is finished and she’s hoping to meet her forever family before that so she can get to know them and have an easy transition to her new home. If you’ve been hoping to find the perfect dog to add to your family, Shelly may be the one!
