SugarBoo is a stunning 2-year-old Exotic Bully mix who has emerged from his past with a heart full of love and resilience.
He came from a heartbreaking cruelty case in Tyler, Texas, where he was rescued from a breeder with over 60 dogs kept in poor conditions. Despite this neglect and likely living outdoors his whole life, SugarBoo’s spirit has remained a gentle bundle of love and sweetness!
While he was scared of people at first, SugarBoo is now blooming in his foster home! He is adored by his foster mom and foster dog brothers where he’s learning the joys of freedom, safety, and affection.
He LOVES his time on the sofa — whether on his foster mom’s lap, napping in the splooting position, or getting goofy with his toys. He basks any sort of affection and loves a good ol’ scratch, often making adorable grunting noises when you “hit the spot.” While cuddling is one of his favorite hobbies he's also very happy hanging alone. He’ll often pick up a toy or two to toss around on his own, all from the comfort of his favorite spot on the couch!
He is one of the few dogs that LOVE being in a crate, and though he doesn’t use his often anymore he found much comfort in having his own enclosed space when adjusting to his foster home. SugarBoo gets along great with other dogs and finds confidence in their presence. He even goes to daycare a few times a month, where he gets put in with little dogs to play and makes new friends every time he goes!
He’s curious about cats and may give chase out of excitement, but he hasn’t shown any harmful tendencies.
SugarBoo is discovering what it means to be loved, and with every passing day his personality shines a little brighter. This kind, gentle soul is eager to be part of a family where he can continue to heal, trust, and thrive.
