However, mixed-breed dogs, lovingly known as mutts, encompass a wonderful variety of traits and are often some of the most cherished and lovable companions.

Triscuit is a sweet and affectionate little Chihuahua who loves nothing more than being close to her humans. She came to our rescue after a hit-and-run incident left her limping onto someone's property with a broken leg and fractured pelvis.

Triscuit was brought to our attention thanks to one of our volunteers, who happened to be the neighbor of the person who found her. This serendipitous connection ensured that Triscuit received the immediate help she needed, and one of our amazing fosters stepped up immediately to bring her home.

Thankfully, after many visits to the vet and several sets of x-rays after being splinted for a month,  it was determined that her injuries did not require surgical intervention or amputation, and she is now on the road to recovery and just needs to rest up a couple more weeks until she can be spayed, but you can apply for her now!

Triscuit’s gentle nature and love for affection make her a delightful companion. Triscuit’s full bio will be available soon, but in the meantime, we can already tell she’s going to make someone very happy with her cuddly and loving personality.
