Bardot – ADOPTED

Stats:

Gender: Female
Breed: Anatolian Shepherd Mixed Breed
Age: 14 Weeks
Weight: 32 lbs

Description:

My parents and I were dumped out in the country and an animal control officer brought us to the shelter. We are good dogs and aren’t sure what we did to upset someone. Luckily, all three of us were saved by New Hope! I’m an active, bold and attentive pup! I will focus on my human without encouragement making me likely very easy to train.

I have a dominant, playful personality and love to play with other dogs. I will let you know if any strangers are approaching the house - bark! I am doing well with my potty training if given frequent potty breaks and know how to use the doggy door at my foster home. I pull a little on the leash, but that’s because I’m so excited about my “new leash on life”!

ABOUT THE BREED:

Anatolian Shepherds are known to be devoted, adaptable and responsive, with a strong drive to protect their pack (whether that be children, cats, smaller dogs or their owners). They were bred to protect the livestock, so you can expect them to be protective and territorial. But at the same time they are intelligent and patient.

Potential owners should be ready to take charge and be confident and assertive leaders who are willing to handle the dog. In return they will bless you with fierce loyalty and protection, and adapt to any situation.
