Those ears. That face. That tilt… and somehow, still convinced she’s a lap dog.

At just 5 months old and already 40 pounds, Breezy is growing into a beautiful large dog (likely around 65–80 lbs full grown) — but in her mind, she’s still small enough to be carried, sit on your lap, and snuggle right into your arms. Breezy wants to soak up all the love she can get — and she deserves to.

Breezy came to us after being found abandoned with a deep bite wound around her neck. Despite that, she meets the world with nothing but softness, trust, and quiet resilience. She is healing beautifully and hasn’t let her past define her — she just wants to be close to her people.

She’s the perfect mix of playful and peaceful:
• Will toss her toys around and entertain herself
• Then come right over for cuddles and kisses
• Has even tucked herself into bed with her favorite toy like a tiny old soul — calm, cozy, and perfectly content

She’ll even cuddle with her toys. One day her foster couldn’t find her anywhere — until they discovered she had tucked herself into bed with her lamby toy. She doesn’t destroy her toys; she truly just enjoys them. She has also been left uncrated for up to an hour and has never destroyed anything.

Breezy is incredibly affectionate and loves being close to her people. She’ll gently use her paws to ask for attention — her sweet way of saying “excuse me, I would like some love please.” She’s already learning polite ways to ask and responds really well to guidance.

She’s also fully committed to her role as a lap dog (despite being 40 pounds and growing). If you’re sitting on the couch, there’s a very good chance Breezy will happily climb right into your lap and lean into your arms for cuddles. It’s intentional, gentle, and incredibly sweet — not the kind of jumping you see with overexcited dogs.

She already has a wonderful foundation in place:
•House trained
•Crate trained and comfortable settling
•Currently chooses to sleep on her own dog bed next to her foster family
•Dog-friendly and very respectful of boundaries
•Cat-friendly and listens when they say “no”
•Knows sit, shake, kennel, and is learning more every day
•Motivated by both affection and treats

She has a really nice, balanced energy — playful and goofy when it’s time for fun, but also able to settle, self-entertain, and relax without being destructive.

Her Ideal Home

Breezy is a smart, sensitive puppy who is already showing what a wonderful, well-balanced dog she can become — and she’ll thrive in a home that continues to guide her as she grows.

She would do best with an adopter who understands that puppies don’t just grow — they’re taught how to become great dogs. Breezy is eager to learn, very people-focused, and already responsive.

She loves her people deeply and can be a little “pick me!” when attention is shared with other dogs, so a home that reinforces boundaries, confidence, and independence will set her up for long-term success. She’s already shown she takes feedback well and adjusts quickly.

Breezy will do best in a home that:
• Provides consistency and gentle leadership
• Continues basic training and positive reinforcement
• Balances affection with structure as she matures

Because she’s still a puppy who uses her paws, can be a little mouthy during play, and loves to climb into laps for cuddles, we recommend a home with children over 7.

She’s not a difficult dog — she’s a smart, moldable puppy with an incredible foundation who will absolutely blossom with the right person.
