Hammy may be small, but he’s already overflowing with happiness and heart! This joyful, playful puppy adores everyone he meets — whether they’re other dogs, cats, or kids — and he’s already mastered the pee pads like a champ. Everywhere he goes, Hammy spreads smiles and puppy happiness.
But Hammy’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. He came to us severely matted, stained from urine, and with a serious condition affecting his eyes. One of his eyelids had started to adhere to the surface of his eye, causing a painful lesion and potential vision loss. After specialized treatment to release the adhesions and clear the damage, his eyes are now healing well and responding beautifully to care.
There’s still a chance he may not regain vision in his left eye, but it looks like we will be able to save the eye itself — and none of this slows him down one bit. Hammy is a resilient, happy little pup who’s soaking up love and life in his foster home while he waits for his forever family.
