She loves her humans, enjoys the company of dog friends, and has a calm, gentle presence thatโ€™s instantly endearing. At 2 years old and 38 pounds, Nala is that just-right size; perfect for road trips, cozy couch snuggles, and is petite enough to share a the recliner with you. She adores her fosterโ€™s secure, fenced yard and is usually the dog who needs a little extra convincing that itโ€™s time to come inside (a squeaky toy is her kryptonite ๐Ÿงธ). At 14 pounds, Bridget is a beautifully large, plush tuxedo girl with a gentle, reserved personality. She thrives in calm, peaceful environments and would love nothing more than a home of her own for the holidays. Bridget adores cozy comforts โ€” curling up under blankets, tucking herself between couch cushions, and claiming the softest spots in the house. She prefers to be the center of your world and would do best as an only kitty, though sheโ€™s perfectly fine with calm, respectful dogs who understand personal space. We need your help to get him a surgery so that he can live a eliminate on his own and live a live pain-free, normal life. You might remember a prior update that Boo came to us with a 2mm opening, preventing him from being able to go to the bathroom. Anal atresia is often a death sentence because treatment feels out of reach. Thankfully Dr Engle @Presti Animal Wellness was able to provide a series of balloon widening treatments that helped Boo get to 7mm! While these procedures saved his life; it wasn't quite enough to resolve his issue long-term. ๐–๐‡๐€๐“ ๐€๐๐Ž๐๐‹๐€๐’๐“๐˜ ๐’๐”๐‘๐†๐„๐‘๐˜ ๐–๐ˆ๐‹๐‹ ๐ƒ๐Ž ๐–๐ˆ๐“๐‡ ๐˜๐Ž๐”๐‘ ๐‡๐„๐‹๐ -Give Boo Boo the ability to eliminate normally -Prevent ongoing discomfort and infection -Protect his comfort and quality of life -Make him adoptable into a loving home Boo Boo also has a small growth on his third eyelid that causes irritation and redness when he blinks. Removing it will prevent future pain and infection. The surgeon will take care of it during the same procedure. We want to be prepared for what the surgeon finds under anesthesia, and we are also still carrying the costs of the earlier balloon dilation treatments that saved his life. Between the surgery for his bum and eye, and the treatments that got Boo Boo this far, we need to raise $1,000 to cover his care. ๐๐‹๐„๐€๐’๐„ ๐‡๐„๐‹๐ ๐”๐’ ๐’๐€๐•๐„ ๐๐Ž๐Ž ๐๐Ž๐Ž. Our tiniest life saved last week
Gracie and Maudie were rescued from a heartbreaking cruelty caseโ€”just 7 months old and already suffering the effects of severe confinement. Four puppies were crammed into a tiny wire crate, unable to move freely. As a result, Grace & Maudie's back legs are weak and wobbly from muscle atrophy, but donโ€™t let that fool youโ€”these girls can walk, play, and even jump on the couch! Maudie, the smallest, and was being crushed under the other puppies when animal control arrived. Her fur is missing on her head from pressing against the kennel. She has never stopped wagging her tail. They were at risk of being euthanized at a shelter that couldnโ€™t place them for adoption. Until New Hope Animal Rescue said yes to rescuing them. This video follows their journeyโ€”from neglect and fear to baths, freedom, and finally, love.
