Description:
Sparkles got her name because she truly shines — even after all she’s been through. This sweet, resilient mama was found hiding in tall grass after being abandoned, likely not long after weaning puppies. Her story took a twist when a screaming kitten led a cat volunteer right to her… and while Sparkles may be terrified of cats (the irony!), she’s been nothing but kind to every feline she's met in her foster home.
At about 62 pounds, Sparkles is a beautiful mixed breed with a heart of gold. She’s incredibly gentle, friendly with everyone she meets, and has an easygoing personality that wins people over instantly. Whether it’s humans, other dogs, or even those mysterious cats, Sparkles is just happy to be included.
She’s currently undergoing heartworm treatment, so she’s not quite ready for adoption yet — but we’re accepting early inquiries from loving homes who want to help her continue healing and thriving. She’s already vaccinated and spayed, and is settling into her foster home beautifully.
Sparkles is the kind of dog who reminds us why rescue matters.
