Description:

Introducing Bunny: your one-way ticket to joy and laughter! This lovable and handsome goofball isn't just a dog; he's a certified happiness booster, guaranteed to put a smile on your face every single day. Bunny is eagerly waiting to become the heart and soul of your home!

Bunny's story began when he was rescued from an open-intake shelter north of Austin  where he was the “go-to” dog for temperament testing videos for other dogs on death row because he was reliably dog friendly. So when we received the “hail mary” plea that now it was Bunny who was to be euthanized for space, we felt like we already knew Bunny and had to act fast!

Bunny far exceeded any expectation we had! He is a smart and complex dog, and has shown us that he is very observant, clever, funny and almost part humanoid. At just one year old, Bunny already has a masters degree in crate and house training, making him the perfect candidate to become your loyal companion.

Bunny never fails to surprise us with his humorous antics – like the time he was crated yet somehow still surprised his foster mom by joining her in the shower. A stealth Houdini, Bunny's magic is only deployed to be near his human, and is used sparingly and responsibly. As if he still needs us humans to feel like we have some power and to assure us he won’t use his Houdini tricks for anything naughty.  His love for water became evident when he started swimming in his water bowls, causing a bit of mess and mischief!

Like a sophisticated AI algorithm, Bunny continues to optimize his functions, so it’s really no surprise Bunny now enjoys lounging in a dry bathtub, a behavior that hints that he perhaps is awaiting the return of cascading water. But in the meantime, as his humorous antics continue to evolve,  his foster mom wonders if he’s truly an earthling or a more sophisticated canine with a touch of extraterrestrial sophistication?

Treats and affection are Bunny's love language, and he's always eager to please. At 40 pounds, he's the perfect size for adventures, whether it's road trips, apartment living, town lake jogs or yard fetch with a family.  He would absolutely love dog friends, but a devoted human who can give him a lot of quality time and opportunities to continue to evolve so he can take over planet earth might suffice.  And of course, he looks forward to showering with you soon.

Note about the breed: The indicated breed is our best estimate based on visual characteristics, but without a DNA test, we cannot guarantee its accuracy. However, mixed-breed dogs, lovingly known as mutts, encompass a wonderful variety of traits and are often some of the most cherished and lovable companions.
