Slim-Jim and his siblings were scheduled to be euthanized at a high kill shelter in the Rio Grande Valley. They came to our rescue exhausted, covered in ticks but very grateful for love and affection.
Slim-Jim got his name because of his slender form. He was very skinny when he came to us, but happy to explore the world. He has an adorable overbite and sticks out his tongue when he sleeps. If it has food in it, he will want it. He is still learning to play with both humans and other dogs. While he’s great with dogs and cats of all sizes, he needs to be introduced properly and have the support of his human.
He will follow you everywhere to make sure that his human will not abandon him again. If you allow him he will sit or curl up and sleep on your lap for as long as you let him. Loves to snuggle with his human in order to feel safe and secure.
