My name is Lena. I ended up at a high kill shelter near the border when my owner died. I'm a sweet medium haired chihuahua mix who is missing a portion of m lower, left rear leg, but I don't let it slow me down. I'm new to the rescue but my foster says I'm already coming out of my shell. I have met dogs, cats and kids, and am doing well with them so far. It's still too early to tell you if I'm a barker or to gauge my energy level. Right now I'm calm and quiet, but I'm still decompressing from being at the shelter. I've had a couple house accidents, but overall seem house trained. My records say I'm 11 months but I seem young so we will get another vet's opinion on my age soon! I still need to be spayed and have my leg examined but the rescue is starting to accept applications for me!
