My name is Daisy and I'm a super happy, wiggle butt so it's really confusing how I ended up at the shelter. My prior owners made me live outside 24-7 and when I got bored and hungry, I dug in the trash and the garden. They didn't like this and took me to the shelter. I swear I'm a good dog and it really hurt my feelings to be betrayed by my family, but I'm ready to start a happier chapter with you! I chase squirrels, but I get along with dogs, cats and kids. I have never met a stranger and I ride like a lady in the car. My foster says I'm house trained and am a mellow, sweet cuddler. So far I'm "low maintenance" but it takes a few weeks or more for a dog's true personality to shine. Don't you want my wiggle butt to welcome you after a long day? I'm 6 years young and have so much love to give you.
I'm heartworm positive and this is very common in Texas for dogs who are not kept on monthly heartworm prevention (it only takes one mosquito bite to infect your dog!). The rescue is paying for my heartworm treatment and is happy to talk to you about what my recovery will entail (mostly rest!), but please don't let this stop you from applying to adopt me!
