"Loving and Loyal" are words used to describe this sweet boy. Clancy had owners who loved him dearly, but In a span of 4-5 years, both his doting and loving parents went through serious illnesses and passed away.

At 9 y ears old, Clancy isn’t even considered a senior yet and has lots of life and love left to give you! If he had it his way, he would snuggle in a recliner with you all day long and will happily join you on a porch to watch the birdies. He would love a home with people who are not gone for long hours, as his prior owners never left his side and he was use to lots of companionship and regular potty breaks.

Named after spy author Tom Clancy, Clancy’s favorite hobbies are chasing geckos, playing with toys and getting treats from his human. With medium energy level, he does great on a leash but as smart dog, he can sometimes be stubborn and will pump the brakes if he’s not up for a walk.

Clancy used to live with another dog (yorkie) for many years did great with him. He tolerates other dogs if they give him his space and are lower energy but doesn’t want to share his toys. He’ll bark the “usual” amount for a dog with purpose like when he sees the Amazon delivery person at your door, but he’s not an excessive barker.

Clancy can be a sensitive pup and might hide under your bed our couch if his feelings are hurt. For Clancy’s happiness, his ideal home would be a calm home where he would get lots of attention and with adults only or possibly teenagers. He can co-exist with another calm dog but might honestly prefer being your one and only true love.
