My name is Honey Bear. My owner died leaving me and 22 other dogs (all Shar Pei mixes) alone on a property for days. Some of us were loose outside, some tied up, some in his home and some were in trailers. He loved us but we were very neglected due to how many dogs he had. Animal Control brought us to a shelter that euthanized four of my friends immediately and gave the rest of us only a 72 hour deadline to be rescued or killed. I’m so grateful that New Hope saved me and my sister Marisa. I’m the smaller sister and my foster describes me as the more easy going one and am a little more shy but I’m coming out of my shell. I’m crate trained and got the hang of the doggy door really quickly. Having come from a situation where I likely lived mostly outside,I’m already loving my foster home! If you don’t adopt me, I just ask that you remember to spay and neuter your pets. Not all of our Shar Pei family made it out of the shelter alive and we don’t need to put more dogs in these situations.
