Maya

Despite her sad story, Maya is a very happy, sweet girl who just wants to be your best friend! She was rescued after her owner died leaving her and 22 other dogs all alone on their property. Maya was found in a cage without food or water -- it’s a miracle she was still alive! She has since made a full recovery and is safe with our animal rescue.

The more we get to know Maya, the more we fall in love! She has beautiful golden eyes and the cutest little ears -- photos don’t do her justice! Her playful yet easy going personality makes her the best of both worlds. She loves all dogs and cats and enjoys being a member of the “pack,” but more than anything she loves pleasing her human. If you are happy she is happy!\

While she loves affection, she can also be independent and is more than happy taking a nap in her crate. She enjoys long walks with her foster brother, and we’ve recently discovered she has a knack for running! She does an amazing job jogging right by her foster’s side.

Maya is a quick learner and is very food motivated. She’s completely house trained, and her foster regularly leaves her uncrated when leaving her home alone.
