Rigsby – ADOPTED

Stats:

Gender: Male
Breed: Ridgeback/Chocolate Lab mix
Age: 2 years
Weight: 62 pounds

Description:

I was found on the side of the road along with a 3-month-old pup and an adult female (also see Bandette and Bardot's story). I was very skinny, scared and confused, but was thankful for human kisses and a much needed meal when we got to the Shelter. Rescued a few days later by New Hope, I am currently thriving in my foster home. I enjoy watching birds and squirrels in my new backyard and going for long walks, and I'm always excited for a new adventure. While I have made good friends with my pit bull foster brother PJ, what I love most is being around my new human friends and all the ear rubs they give me!

I’m potty trained and food-motivated and think I would be comfortable in any home, as long as I'm loved by my humans. Can't wait to meet you and give you all the love in the world!

ABOUT THE BREED:

Ridgeback Lab Mix breed is very loyal, affectionate and makes for a good family pet especially an active one or with active kids. They will bond closely to their family, but don't expect them to be too much of a guard dog. They might try to "bluff" to scare off potential intruders by something known as "posture".

Ridgeback Labs can also be a little stubborn, so regular training and/or experienced assertive handling is recommended. That said, each dog will have their own personalities, that's what makes mixes and mutts so lovable.
