Russ has the silkiest, softest fur that he will snuggle up against you with once he is feeling comfortable in your home. At 14 years young, Russ still enjoys his walks and playtime in the yard. Russ was surrendered to our rescue when his owner moved to Hawaii and could not take him with her. We could clearly see Russ was attached to his human and was confused when she pulled away. But it didn’t take long for this cutie to warm up to his foster mom. Russ is fostered with dogs of all sizes and he ignored the cats he has met. He is a sweet balance of affection with some lap time, but also enjoys quiet time napping on his own. He is house trained, and relatively quiet unless he sees a mail carrier out the window. Russ would love a calm, quiet home. He is timid around sudden movements or loud noises, but despite his cautious nature, he’s 100 % sweet. He deserves a loyal adopter who will commit to loving him through the rest of his golden years. He would do fine as an only dog or could co-exist well with another calm, laid-back pup. He’s earned his right to a little peace and quiet and we don’t blame him. If you can offer Russ a forever home he will show you nothing but love and loyalty in return.
