Swish is a ridiculous bundle of sweetness wrapped in cuteness and sealed with a slow, waddling strut that will melt your heart. If you need a hiking buddy or a dog that will keep up with your morning jog, well… keep looking! Swish takes life at her own pace—a *very* slow one—and will happily stop, plop, and snooze in any cozy bed she finds. Whether it’s her crate or a fluffy pillow, Swish knows how to make the most of her relaxation time. 

This little hamhock also has a one-of-a-kind heart—literally! Swish’s special swishy heartbeat (a heart murmur) just adds to her charm. After a thorough evaluation by a cardiologist, we are optimistic that Swish can live a happy, healthy life without medication. 

Swish has a remarkable ability to go with the flow—whether it’s dealing with special needs pets in the home or tolerating things that other dogs might find overwhelming. She hardly ever barks, so when she does, it’s more like catching a rare Pokémon. And when she flops into the perfect “frog sploot,” with those little legs stretched behind her, her hammy thighs on display, you’ll feel an overwhelming urge to nibble them—because, honestly, how is anyone supposed to handle that much cuteness?!

Swish is a master of two things: cuddling and making everyone around her feel special. Whether she’s snuggling up next to you or leaning on a furry friend, she always needs to be touching someone. With her low-energy vibe, she’s happiest in cozy outfits, fluffy beds, and a laid-back home where no one’s rushing her to do anything. Compliments are her love language—she lights up when you tell her how beautiful she is or praise her for mastering her crate time and patiently waiting for dinner. In fact, Swish often moseys into her crate on her own when she’s in the mood for a little peace and quiet.

Swish is a simple soul who believes life is meant to be taken one slow step at a time—or not at all. When it’s time for a walk, she’s more likely to stand still and ponder the meaning of life than actually follow along. If you’re in a hurry, be prepared to pick up and carry this queen of calm, because Swish just doesn’t see the point of rushing anywhere. She figures, why walk when the world is perfectly fine right where it is?

**The Ideal Home for Swish**  

Swish needs a family that will love and care for her not only emotionally but also be prepared for the long-term care that often comes with bulldogs. Though she’s doing wonderfully now, her breed mix means she could need future care for orthopedic, skin, or breathing issues. Her heart murmur should be monitored with a cardiology check-up in 6–12 months, and possibly throughout her life. But we’re thrilled to share that her cardiologist sees no reason why Swish can’t live a full and healthy life without medication.  

Swish’s journey as a dog dumped in a dog park and not reclaimed at a shelter is a reminder of the importance of understanding a breed before adopting, ensuring that families are ready to offer the care and commitment these wonderful dogs need to thrive.
