Bane was found roaming the streets and taken to a shelter. When no one reclaimed him, he landed himself on the euthanasia list. Unfortunately Bane's intimidating appearance and fearful body language meant the shelter would not give him a chance on the adoption floor. He sat at the shelter for over a month without any exposure to people or dogs. His fate seemed to have been locked in.
Luckily one of the shelter employees saw him for who he really was, and contacted us to help rescue him.
Bane is full of life, goofy, energetic and so sweet. He wants to be next to his people and waits for you to tell him what to do. He sleeps under our bed every night without any issues and he is fully potty trained. Although he does enjoy the occasional zoomiez and LOVES to play with his toys. He listens well to the commands that he knows: sit, paw/shake, lay down (we will be working on more).
Bane is a working dog and needs to be active. His ideal adopter will be someone who wants an intensely intelligent, energetic dog, who will commit to him and provide him a daily dose of both mental stimulation and physical activity.
If you are someone who is active, goes for hikes, runs or bikes and you need a sturdy dog who will be able to keep up with you and intelligent enough to bring you a drink from the fridge, then Bane is for you.
