Description:

Meet Sploot – the Smiling Low Rider! 🐾

Sploot is a 4-year-old brindle pit-dachshund mix with short legs, a big smile, and an even bigger heart. At 46 pounds, he’s the perfect size for couch snuggles or leisurely strolls.

True to his name, Sploot loves to relax belly-down with his back legs stretched out behind him. He’s crate trained, house trained, calm, and quiet. Around other dogs, he prefers to watch the fun before joining in — a thoughtful observer still settling in with his foster pack.

Sploot came to the shelter microchipped, but when his owners never reclaimed him, he was at risk for euthanasia. We couldn’t let that be his ending, and now he’s ready for a fresh start.

If you’re looking for a loyal, low-riding companion with a winning smile, Sploot is available to foster or adopt. Apply to foster and help him find his forever home, or apply to adopt and make him part of your family!
