Thankfully, someone stopped. Now this adorable 5 month old puppy is safe in foster care and absolutely thriving. Rocky is smart, playful, affectionate, and FULL of personality. He loves other dogs, is already crate trained, sleeps through the night, and has been impressing everyone with how quickly he learns. He already knows “sit” and “down,” has excellent recall for a puppy, and is obsessed with enrichment toys and games. He’s the kind of puppy who wants to be involved in everything — playing, learning, exploring, and then crashing hard for puppy naps afterward. Rocky is looking for an active, committed home ready to continue helping him grow into the incredible dog he’s becoming. 💕 Meet Valentine (“Little Val”) 💕 Little Val is c 💕 Meet Valentine (“Little Val”) 💕 Little Val is currently looking for a calm foster or foster-to-adopt home where she can safely undergo heartworm treatment — and we know someone out there is going to fall in love with this sweet girl. 💖 This affectionate, easygoing pup wants nothing more than to be close to her people. Whether she’s cuddled on the couch, following you from room to room, or relaxing nearby while you shower for the warm steam, Little Val is happiest simply being with you. She has wonderful house manners, loves gentle attention, and has been an easy companion in foster care. She entered our rescue with pneumonia that she caught at a shelter, but thanks to lots of great vet care and TLC from her current foster, she's made a full recover. Now that she’s starting to feeling better, her playful personality has begun to shine through. But she's still the queen of the relaxed lifestyle filled with naps, cozy cuddle sessions, and slow-paced walks. Meet Sammi at Wakesurf Saloon this Saturday from Meet Sammi at Wakesurf Saloon this Saturday from 2-4 along with other New Hope adoptable dogs💛 After the heartbreaking loss of her owner, this sweet, 11 year old girl found herself displaced and in a shelter — something we see far too often in rescue. Thankfully, one of our fosters stepped in, and Sammi has been reminding everyone ever since that older dogs still have so much love, joy, and life left to give. Sammi loves being part of a family and a dog pack. She lives comfortably with dogs of all sizes, cats and and has proven herself to be the perfect little house guest. Sammi doesn’t just want a home — she wants to be part of your everyday life. Whether she’s sunning herself in the yard, curled up beside her people on the couch, or piled into bed with her humans and furry foster siblings, Sammi is happiest when she feels connected, included, and loved. She has a calm, comforting presence about her, but don’t let the “senior” label fool you — this girl still has plenty of pep in her step, personality, and zest for life. She enjoys exploring the yard, soaking up the sunshine, and being right in the middle of whatever the family or other dogs are doing. The rescue provided Sammi with a much-needed dental, and she’s feeling so much better and ready for her next chapter. Sammi has already experienced loss. This squishy little micro bully is happiest curled up in a soft blanket, snoozing beside another dog, or resting his giant block head in your lap while you work. He doesn’t ask for much — just a safe place, kind hands, and someone to love him. As Ron has settled into foster care, his adorable puppy personality has really started to shine. He’s become increasingly playful, silly, and curious, while still remaining the snuggly cuddle bug everyone falls in love with. Watching his confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding. He is happiest pressed against his people, tucked beside a canine friend, or sprawled belly-up without a care in the world. He craves closeness and reassurance, and gives that same love right back tenfold. Ron has lived with dogs, cats, and even chickens in foster care. He can be a little nervous during first introductions with new dogs, but settles quickly once he realizes everyone is friendly. Ron sleeps quietly in his crate, is learning routines quickly, and has already started signaling to go outside by heading to the back door. His foster describes him as incredibly eager to please and very responsive to gentle structure and positive reinforcement. While Ron can still be sensitive to loud voices or overwhelming situations, he has made tremendous progress since entering foster care and continues to build confidence every single day. Ron will thrive in a patient, loving home that understands sensitive dogs and will continue helping him build confidence at his own pace. In return, you’ll get one of the sweetest little companions imaginable — equal parts cuddle bug and goofy puppy. Everyone who meets Ron falls a little bit in love with him — and once you meet him, you’ll understand why.

Big, handsome, and officially HOME 🖤 Our beloved Big, handsome, and officially HOME 🖤 Our beloved Burglar was adopted from our adoption center at @petsmart in Balcones Woods! Burglar’s journey to this moment started with an incredible Good Samaritan who noticed a neighborhood stray appearing on and off near a vacant home beginning in late 2024. After the unexpected loss of their beloved dog Stevie, she and her husband began feeding the local cats as a way to heal — never expecting one scruffy black cat to completely steal their hearts. At the time, Burglar was competing for territory with another large stray tomcat named Prowler, often disappearing for weeks at a time. Then one day, Burglar came tearing into their backyard with painter’s tape and debris stuck to the tip of his tail. Using canned food and a lot of patience, she was able to help free him safely — and from that moment on, an unexpected friendship began. What started as feeding a frightened stray slowly turned into months of socialization, trust-building, and love. Thanks to her dedication, Burglar transformed into the sweetest giant cuddlebug imaginable. When she came to us asking for help finding him the perfect forever home, our volunteers instantly fell in love with this gorgeous 18-pound medium-haired house panther… and thankfully, his amazing new mom did too. Stories like Burglar’s are such a powerful reminder of what patience, compassion, and kindness can do. Thank you to the Good Samaritan who gave him a chance, and congratulations to Burglar on the forever home he always deserved 🐾 @petsmartcharities

Surgery would give her a 10% chance of recovery so we didn't pursue it; but LOOK AT HER NOW. She is stronger by the day. Meeps is writing her own story! Shilo had been hit by a car just a few weeks ago with the trauma primarily damaging her jaw/nose/eyes/face. We were the only rescue that could respond to this shelter's plea on time and we thankfully had an amazing vet partner who said YES to helping us save her. But look at Shilo just a few weeks later thanks to quick intervention, two surgeries and a supportive vet team and amazing foster! Thank you to everyone who donated and believed she was worth saving.
