Lockhart Animal Shelter is an open intake shelter outside of Austin TX, which means they do not refuse stray intakes or owner surrenders. This means they are FULL and are in desperate need of life saving adopters, fosters and rescue offers! Please go help this shelter! They are over flowing with highly adoptable puppies! These include providing basic care for the animal, obtaining a rabies vaccination as required by law and having the animal spayed or neutered within 30 days of adoption or by the date outlined in the contract. These are requirements set forth by state statute and failure to do so is a Class C Misdemeanor! ADOPTION HOURS: Tuesday-Friday: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday: 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday and Monday: CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC*

Pie Pie has never had a friend like the Sundance Kid. He leaves for a rescue in New Hampshire soon so we are so sad for Pie Pie who hasn't been able to have many play interactions like this due to her Dog Selective nature but it's this is Sundance puppy's best chance of finding an amazing home where there are more adopters than in Texas. We know she will understand.

Sundance can match his energy and play style to any dog. He is playful and energetic with young pups and younger dogs, but will take correction and warnings from older grumps. He even senses how fragile kittens are and cleaned the ears of a paralyzed kitten he was fostered with.
